About us

We are a global procurement company that has developed the ability to supply customers with the products they require directly from the factory at the lowest cost. We do this with our extensive network in the lowest cost producing countries and shipping it directly from the factory to our customer’s warehouse. We take responsibility for the whole chain to ensure a seamless transaction.

Our Team

Dr Eric Leung

Chairman

Eric received his Ph.D. degree at the Department of Chemical Engineering, University of Toronto, Canada in 2002. He was then selected as one of two scientists for the first Space Shuttle program led by Professor M. Kawaji, at the University of Toronto, in partnership with the Canadian Space Agency and NASA.

He then joined Campbell Soup Company in the USA, as a Director and Senior Research Scientist/Engineer for Emerging Markets (China) / Corporate Technology Innovation and New Business. He introduced a new and exclusive product technology that allowed Campbell Soup Company to manufacture and launch its first-ever soup products in China.

In 2008 Eric established his own business ST Agri Inc in the USA and Canada (doing business under the tradename Fave) and Goodwave Technology in China. Eric resides in New York. Eric has completed his Executive MBA at Princeton University, USA in 2024.

Riaan van Wyk

CEO

I studied commerce, law, tax and practised as a partner in a private law firm for 13 years.

In 1997, I made a career change and established and managed a large international fresh produce company supplying top end retailers around the world.

As a 3rd career, I co-founded ARE International an international procurement company which is part of a large group of companies with distribution centres is Los Angeles (USA), Vancouver (Canada) and Hainan (China).

I am competitive by nature and love to be successful in my work. This I measure with a very simple question – do our suppliers and customers smile when they do business with us?

Janie du Plessis

International Procurement

As a restless soul with an enquiring nature I have travelled the world and lived in exotic places. This has taught me to communicate with people from all walks of life. I see myself as a people’s person who loves to connect with foreign cultures, absorbing and learning from each. My career kicked off as a Television presenter and journalist in my student days in Johannesburg. I then founded a marketing company which offered project management services to property developers. This experience taught me the value of being in tune with marketing trends, customer needs and how to launch products in volatile markets.

As a cancer survivor I volunteered in various exciting projects locally and internationally over 24 years and in my last 6 years as CEO of a Cancer Charity Holding company. Being in a workplace that aims to make people happy is inspiring and fulfills me.
